Melissa Z
Melissa Z is a behavioral scientist who leads cross-functional teams ranging from design interns to engineering directors while strategizing with C-suite executives to scale business impact and build products truly accessible for all.
She is passionate about creating intuitive experiences to empower those with minimal skills to adopt technology safely and enrich their lives.
Her projects include various pursuits such as improving interfaces for critical medical devices used by millions, connecting the next billion users to the internet for the very first time, and helping real people understand how to use AI in their daily lives by tackling the Five Barriers to Technology identified in her work.
In her spare time, Melissa enjoys activities that require a high degree of mastery, such as underwater cave diving, paragliding, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
A true global citizen, she is sought out for speaking engagements and company workshops from her home bases in Chicago, Munich, and Silicon Valley, which she shares with her dog Koko - whom she notes is not spoiled, but merely competitively compensated for the user experience she provides.
